BSDCan is organized by three groups: the Papers Committee, the Operations Team, and BSDCan Conferences Inc. BCI exists to accept sponsor funds and write checks. For business purposes, BCI declares each year's conference chairman to be President and a non-voting member. The President is delegated the job of "make BSDCan happen." The papers committee selects the content. To facilitate communications between committees, the con chair is a non-voting member. Nobody who can write a check for BCI can be a voting member of the papers committee. The operations team organizes the event itself. The con chair is in charge of the operations team.
